Musculoskeletal Therapy
The AOIT development of MST was developed by Neil Skilbeck, who had experience in private practice spanning almost 50 years as a Chiropractor and Osteopath and trained in Bowen therapy with Tom Bowen himself (The developer of Bowen Therapy). It combines rigorous assessment processes, including skeletal assessment, with the treatment of muscles to realign the body to its more ideal state. The Bowen style cross fibre technique was developed originally by Tom Bowen, an outstanding body therapist in Geelong Victoria. It uses a cross fibre method of addressing muscle problems and its work particularly in the sporting field is legendary. To this modality Neil Skilbeck has added his essential body diagnostics of monitoring bone positions, orthopaedic, manual resistive and range of motion tests. A combination of Roy Brown’s neural methods as well as successful muscle based treatment techniques including massage and kinesiology and PNF stretch techniques are employed to bring balance back to the body.
